A 3m power lead that runs a portable Engel fridge from any grey SB50 outlet on your rig. Connects to a battery box, dual-battery inlet, portable power station or solar controller on the Anderson side, and plugs straight into any Engel fridge with the classic flat-blade 2-pin plug on the other end. Fits caravan drawer fridges, 4WD cargo-area fridges, ute tub fridges, boat cool boxes and camp kitchens.

The cable is 16 AWG twin core (2 by 1.31mm²), rated 10A continuous and long enough to reach from a rear battery box to a mid-cabin fridge. The Anderson end is a standard grey SB50 housing. The fridge end is Engel's own flat-blade 2-pin plug, the same connector Engel has used across its portable range for decades.

The lead is unfused. Fuse it at the source, on the positive line as close to the battery as practical, sized to the fridge's peak draw (a 40L-class Engel starts at 6 to 8A). Grey SB50 only mates with grey. Engel models that use a coaxial DC barrel plug instead of the flat-blade 2-pin will not fit this cable.

Q: Will this cable fit all Engel fridges?
Fits Engel fridges that use the flat-blade 2-pin plug, the same plug Engel has used for decades across its portable-fridge range. Not for Engel models with a coaxial DC barrel plug.

Q: Can I use this with non-grey Anderson plugs?
Grey SB50 mates only with grey SB50. Red with red, yellow with yellow. If your source outlet is grey, this cable connects. Otherwise use a matching-colour cable.

Q: Is the cable fused?
No. Fuse at the source, on the positive line as close to the power source as practical. Size to fridge peak draw. A 40-litre-class Engel starts around 6 to 8 A at 12 V. Size fuse to that.

Q: What does SB50 mean?
SB50 is Anderson's model number for the 50 A small-block housing (SB stands for Small Block). Standard-size housing used across battery boxes, dual-battery inlets and camp gear.

Q: What gauge is the cable?
16 AWG (2 x 1.31 mm²). Sized for 10 A continuous over 3 metres to a fridge-class load.

Q: Can I run it on 24 V?
Yes. The Engel 2-pin plug and the SB50 both handle 24 V. Make sure the fridge input voltage matches the source.

Q: What if I need a longer cable?
3 metres is the standard length. For longer runs, step up cable size (14 AWG or 12 AWG) to keep voltage drop under 3 percent. Or add an SB50 extension between the outlet and this cable.

Q: Anderson-style or genuine Anderson?
Anderson-style. The SB50 housing pattern mates with genuine Anderson SB50 as well as any other SB50-compatible plug in the Elevate range.

Q: Which end is positive?
Anderson SB50 uses both terminals in one shell. The Engel 2-pin plug is polarised by pin position, factory-wired so positive on the Anderson end matches positive on the Engel end.
