Sealed T-piece for branching a wiring loom off the main run without cutting into the conduit. Anti-vibration rings clamp both legs and the branch, and the removable inspection hatch lets you route cables through the branch then seal it back down to IP67. Replaces the split-loom-and-tape T-off that fails the moment water or vibration touches it.

Moulded from polyamide 66 (nylon 66) — chemical-resistant, service temperature −40°C to +150°C, won't chalk under UV. Fits both slit and unslit conduit, keeps the full conduit bore through the fitting, and takes a reducing kit when the branch leg is smaller than the main run.

Sealed T-piece size guide

Pick the size that matches the outside diameter of your main-run conduit. If the branch leg needs to step down, add a reducing kit to that leg.

Bore SKU Typical use
10mm CTP10 Trigger wires, sensor loops, small signal runs
12mm CTP12 General accessory looms, driving-light wiring
16mm CTP16 Main body looms, multi-strand branch runs
20mm CTPB20 Heavy battery-side runs, thick multi-cable branches

Split vs non-split conduit — which one does this fit?

This T-piece fits both. Non-split conduit (solid tube) is the sealed option — you thread cables through end-to-end before joining, and once fitted the assembly stays IP67. Split conduit (loom tube) has a slit down its length so you can wrap it around cables mid-run without disconnecting anything, but the slit means it never truly seals. For a T-branch, non-split is the cleaner match. Split loom works on repairs where you can't dismantle the harness, but expect some ingress at the split.

Main-run conduit this T-piece joins to

Match the bore size to your run:

  • Sealed T-branch for wiring looms without cutting into the conduit. Anti-vibration rings hold both legs and the branch, the removable inspection hatch makes cable routing straightforward, and reducing kits let you step down the branch leg when it needs to run smaller cable. Polyamide 66 body handles the chemicals, temperature swings and UV a bay or engine bay throws at it.

Q: What's a sealed T-piece actually for?

Branching a wiring loom off the main run without cutting into the conduit. Feed the main run into two legs, feed the branch cables through the removable inspection hatch, close the hatch, and you've got a sealed IP67 junction instead of an exposed splice point. Replaces the old 'split the loom and tape it up' approach that fails as soon as water or vibration finds it.

Q: What size do I need?

Match the T-piece bore to the outside diameter of your main-run conduit. 12mm main run → CTP12. Sizes are 10mm, 12mm, 16mm and 20mm. If the branch leg steps down to smaller conduit, add a reducing kit to that leg — the T-piece body stays the main-run size.

Q: Split loom or non-split conduit — which does this fit?

Both. Non-split conduit gives you the sealed IP67 result the fitting is designed for — clamps around solid conduit and the branch seals to the hatch. Split loom will physically fit too, but the slit down its length means the joint isn't fully sealed. Use non-split where sealing matters (engine bay, chassis rail, wheel-well); split loom where you're patching an existing loom you can't dismantle.

Q: What's polyamide 66 and why does it matter?

Polyamide 66 is a nylon plastic OEMs use across underhood connector housings and conduit fittings. Handles −40°C to +150°C, resists fuels, oils, coolants and most solvents, holds up under UV without chalking or going brittle. Cheaper plastics soften with heat or crack in cold — when a fitting spec sheet says PA66, that's what you're paying for.

Q: What's IP67 mean here?

Dust-tight (the '6') and rated to survive temporary submersion up to 1 metre for 30 minutes (the '7'). Practical read: dust from a corrugation, rain, a puddle strike, an engine wash — all fine. Not rated for continuous submersion or high-pressure water blast (that's IP68 / IP69K).

Q: What are the anti-vibration rings?

Internal rings that grip the conduit outer wall when you clamp the T-piece down. They stop the conduit walking out of the fitting under vibration — the failure mode of unclamped fittings on 4WD engine bays and trailer looms. Moulded into the fitting body, not fitted separately.

Q: What's a reducing kit and when do I need one?

A stepped insert that lets one leg of the T-piece accept a smaller conduit than the fitting is designed for — e.g. 12mm main line into a T-piece with a 10mm branch leg. Use one when the branch cable is much thinner than the main loom and you want to step conduit size down at the junction instead of running oversized conduit on the branch. Reducing kits are sold separately.

Q: Can I open the inspection hatch later?

Yes — that's what the removable hatch is for. Pop it, add or replace a branch cable, refit and re-seal. Refitting properly (hatch flush, retention lugs engaged) is what keeps the IP67 rating. Leave the hatch open or half-clipped and you lose the seal.

Q: Why pick a sealed T-piece over just splitting the loom and taping it?

Tape and split-loom T-offs fail. Tape backs off in heat, split-loom flexes open under vibration, any water in the join wicks along the cables. The sealed T-piece gives you a fixed physical junction with a proper seal, and the removable hatch means you can service the branch without dismantling the loom. On engine bay, chassis rail, wheel-well and trailer runs — anywhere it gets wet, hot or moves — sealed fitting is the difference between a five-year loom and a two-year one.
