A ratcheting crimper that forms a four-sided indent on Deutsch DT, DTM and DTP solid contacts. Handles size 12, 16 and 20 pins and sockets across the 12-20 AWG (0.5-4mm²) range. Suits automotive looms, trailer wiring, agricultural and heavy-equipment harness repairs, and underbonnet connector work.

The ratchet locks the stroke until the crimp completes, so every terminal gets the same compression and the handles release only when the cycle finishes. Jaws cycle through eight impressions per crimp. The body is 260mm long with knurled ergonomic grips, opens on a spring release and tucks straight into a toolbag between jobs.

Deutsch solid contacts need the four-sided indent; this tool will not crimp open-barrel stamped-and-formed terminals. Match the contact size before each crimp and seat the pin fully in the locator so the indent lands on the barrel, not the tail.

Q: What does '4-way indent' crimp mean?
A: The jaws press four small indents into the terminal barrel at 90 degrees to each other, locking the wire from four sides. That grips the solid Deutsch contact uniformly where a flat open-barrel crimp would slip under vibration.

A: The ratchet locks the stroke until the cycle finishes, so under-crimping is not possible. After the handles release, pull-test the wire by hand to confirm the contact grips the conductor and not just the insulation.

Q: Is the ratchet adjustable?
A: No. The ratchet is pre-set for the three contact sizes and does not adjust. Match the contact size to the correct jaw position before each crimp.
